Michael Mueller, LMT, BCTMB
Mike came to us with over 10 years practice experience as one of Elements Spa's most popular massage therapists.
Mike is a Board Certified Massage Therapist and a graduate from East West College of Healing Arts in Portland, OR., with over 1000 hours of training in massage and bodywork. Board Certification requires fulfilling additional qualifications, including more education, hands-on experience and a background check. Therapists achieving this credential have the proper foundation to better serve their clients and demonstrate a commitment to raising the standards of the profession that have remained stagnant for the past 20 years. Achievement of Board Certification is the highest attainable credential level in the profession.
Mike is licensed by the State of Colorado and has practiced in conjunction with chiropractors and physical therapists since 2009. He works with a wide variety of clients, treating conditions ranging from tension headaches and neck pain, joint pain, fibromyalgia, stress as well as many other muscle related aches and pain. He utilizes a complementary set of modalities, including deep tissue massage, Thai massage, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, structural integration, and passive stretching to assist clients in relieving stress related tension, reducing chronic pain and correcting musculoskeletal dysfunction. He combines deeper techniques with subtler gentle techniques, that allow the body to relax and move closer to homeostasis. Mike feels that refining and expanding bodywork skills is an important part of being a professional. He has completed a graduate certificate in wellness coaching and is studying somatic psychotherapy with a focus on how trauma presents in the human body.
In his free time, he practices yoga, loves to snow ski, swim, cycle, and trail run, as well as read and write while hanging out at a local coffee shop.
